Day 1: Denpasar > Seminyak
First night in Bali… and of course, Balinese dinner on the beach with the rest of the group.
Activities:
Arrival, Welcome Dinner, and Bike Prep. Arrive in Bali and transfer to your accommodation. The day includes the mandatory bike check-in process and an orientation briefing to review the 12-day route and safety protocols. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a high-quality local partner venue






Day 2: Seminyak (150km) > Tejakula
A coastal route north and the first test of escaping Bali’s traffic chaos. Buddhist temples and a local educational project.
Activities:
Culture, Spirituality, and Social Impact. Start with a ride through the lush rice terraces of Tabanan. Participate in a profound Hindu purification ceremony at the revered Pura Kelecung temple. The afternoon features a visit to the Escuela Torrevieja foundation, where a 500,000 IDR per pilot donation is made. This stage focuses on deep Balinese culture and ethical tourism.
Day 3: Tejakula (90km) > Ubud
Batur Volcano, rice terraces, and hot springs before reaching the cultural heart of Bali.
Activities:
Volcano Views and Thermal Springs. Ride towards the magnificent Mount Batur volcano, capturing stunning scenic views of the caldera. The highlight is a relaxing stop at the Batur hot springs, where you receive a complimentary 30-minute thermal massage to prepare your body for the long journey ahead. The day concludes near the East Coast (Amed area).
Day 4: Ubud (150km) > Senggigi via Padangbai
Boat crossing to Lombok, paradisiacal beaches and discovery of Mandalika
Activities:
Epic Sea Crossing and Geological Significance. An early start for the ferry crossing from Bali to Lombok. This is a geographically significant moment as you cross the Wallace Line, the invisible boundary separating Asian and Australasian fauna. After arriving in Lombok, the ride continues through the island’s capital region to your overnight stop.


Day 5: Senggigi (20km) > Gili Trawangan
A day of rest on a traffic-free island with crystal-clear waters and white sand.
Activities:
Lombok Coastal Explorer. Spend the day traversing the scenic coasts and inland roads of Lombok, often compared to the Bali of 30 years ago. Experience the contrasting landscapes, from volcanic peaks to pristine beaches. The pace remains moderate as you prepare for the demanding Sumbawa legs.


Day 6: Gili Trawangan (120km) > Sambelia
Back to Lombok, hidden waterfalls in the heart of the jungle and coastal roads with breathtaking views.
Activities:
Island Hop to the Wild West. Another ferry crossing takes you from Lombok to the vast and sparsely populated island of Sumbawa. This is where the true wilderness adventure begins. You will ride down the challenging, often isolated Sumbawa South Coast route, far from tourist crowds.

Activities:
Tambora Volcano Expedition. Ride deep into the heart of Sumbawa to the region surrounding the colossal Tambora Volcano National Park. This remote journey takes you through unique Sumbawan culture and dramatic landscapes, setting the stage for the following day’s challenge.


Day 7: Sambelia(120km) > Sekongkang
Day 8: Sekongkang(200km) > Moyo Utara
A challenging route through the jungle, dirt roads, and hidden villages.
Activities:
The Queen Stage: Authentic Jungle Trek. This is the infamous Etapa Reina (Queen Stage). This challenging, long-haul segment involves riding through a rugged, isolated jungle and potential dirt tracks. It is the most technically demanding part of the tour, requiring focus and rewarding riders with unspoiled, authentic Sumabawan isolation.




Day 9: Moyo Utara
Day 10: Moyo Utara(260km) > Bima
Snorkel with whale sharks in the turquoise waters of Moyo Utara/Saleh Bay.
Activities:
Whale Shark Snorkeling & Overnight Transit. An unforgettable morning: visit the remote Saleh Bay near Moyo Utara for a chance to snorkel with the majestic Whale Sharks. This is a major highlight. In the evening, you board the long-haul night ferry to Flores, resting up for the final push
Island route with two options: technical and intense or cultural and panoramic among crop terraces.
Activities:
Final Ride to Komodo Gateway. Arrive in Flores and complete the final riding leg of the tour to Labuan Bajo, the bustling port town and primary gateway to Komodo National Park. Bike drop-off and preparation for the final boat excursion.




Day 11: Bima (50km) > Komodo / Labuan Bajo
Day 12: Komodo / Labuan Bajo > Denpasar
Encounter with the Komodo dragons and the incredible pink sand beach.
Activities:
The Komodo Dragon Trek. A non-riding day. Board a boat for the iconic journey into the Komodo National Park. Trek on the island to see the Komodo Dragons in their natural habitat, marking the tour’s main destination achievement. Enjoy the picturesque marine environment before returning to Labuan Bajo.
Return by plane to the starting point and end the party at one of the best beach clubs. Let’s celebrate the end of the Challenge!
Activities:
Departure. Enjoy a final group breakfast and transfer to the local airport for your flight out of Labuan Bajo, concluding the 12-day Bali to Komodo Challenge.

This is an intensive 1,234 km adventure recommended for riders who are experienced in long-distance touring and comfortable with a variety of conditions, including heavy traffic in Bali and challenging, isolated terrain on islands like Sumbawa. Mandatory personal international travel insurance is also required for all participants.
Is motorbike insurance included in the Bali to Komodo tour price?
Motorcycle insurance is NOT included in the base price. You must choose one of two options:
Purchase a Full-Risk Insurance policy for €259 (covers all damages to the bike).
Leave a Refundable Security Deposit of €1,000 upon arrival (returned if no damages occur).
